by the department of Health and Human Services to a Team comprising
of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Booz | Allen |
Hamilton, HIMSS, the Advanced Technology Institute and a team of
small businesses including SecurityRiskSolutions, Inc.

Staff
members from SecurityRiskSolutions assisted the Department of Health
and Human Services in their first NHIN Forum by participating as the
Discussant for the Security and Privacy Functional Requirements of
the NHIN breakout session. Obtaining feedback from a session
with over 100 participants, SecurityRiskSolutions subsequently
reported out in testimony to the National Committee for Health and
Vital Statistics (NCVHS), the advisory body to the DHHS.
Now
in year two of the contract, SecurityRiskSolutions is facilitating
the HITSP Security and Privacy Technical Committee with over 80 participants. The
principal charter of the workgroup is to identify, evaluate,
and select standards for Security and Privacy that support the Implementation Specifications of the
Care Delivery, Population Health and Consumer Empowerment Technical
Committees.
